2013 Cadillac XTS Sedan Debuts at 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show: Official Info and Specs

The new Cadillac XTS has an exterior design that just yells modern and fresh, being not as sharp edged as the CTS, and having a chrome grill worthy of the Cadillac SRX crossover or the full-sized Escalade SUV.

The aged DTS which was the flagship of GM’s luxury brand and which has retired last year has appearently been replaced by the 2013 Cadillac XTS Sedan. The main competitor GM wanted to overcome is the BMW, and even if the new Cadillac may not have the luxury street-cred to go up against the rear-drive BMW 7 Series, it looks to make a fine addition to Cadillac’s lineup.

But disregarding all this, we have to mention that GM took care that the 2013 Cadillac XTS matched the competition in all salient points, reason for which the vehicle features CUE, which is Cadillac’s answer to the BMW’s iDrive and Mercedes-Benz COMAND infotainment system, V-6 and V-8 engines, front wheel as well as all-wheel drive, and heated and cooled seats along with massage chairs. It would definitely won’t come as a surprise if a long version of the XTS hits the autosphere in the near future.

This deffinitely sounds like a good option for GM, and along with the all-new Buick and Chevrolet Cruze this might just be the strongest lineup for decades.
