by SpeedLux

The 2014 MINI Cooper Convertible has been spied for the very first time.

In the images it can be seen that the Cooper Convertible is being transported on back of a truck to another destination. The model closely echoes the standard model that will be unveiled in this month on 18th. As a result, it comes equipped with a soft top and an evolutionary front fascia which was previewed by the Vision concept.

Nothing confirmed as of now but we can expect engine options to be likely carried over from the standard model so expect choices to include:
• 1.5-liter three-cylinder petrol engine with output of 134 hp (100 kW) and 170 lb-ft (230 Nm) of torque
• 1.5-liter three-cylinder diesel mill rated at 114 hp (85 kW) and 199 lb-ft (269 Nm) of torque
• 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol engine producing 189 hp (141 kW) and 221 lb-ft (300 Nm) of torque

The above engines will be further connected to new manual and automatic transmissions which the company promises to deliver improved efficiency and intensive driving pleasure. Well the model looks superb but the details are limited as of now and we will have to wait for some more time for more details to be revealed of the Cooper Convertible.
