2014 MINI Cooper Convertible spied near the Arctic Circle

by SpeedLux

The 2014 MINI Cooper Convertible has been caught on camera undergoing cold weather testing near the Arctic Circle.

Dressed in swirly camouflage, the model pretty much resembles the hatchback but adopts a retractable soft top with a small rear window. The changes to the model are limited but include a center brake light that has been relocated to the tailgate.

Engine options will likely carryover from the standard model and so we can expect choices to include:
• A 1.5-liter three-cylinder petrol engine with an output capacity of 134 hp (100 kW) and 170 lb-ft (230 Nm) of torque
• A 1.5-liter three-cylinder diesel engine delivering an output of 114 hp (85 kW) and 199 lb-ft (269 Nm) of torque
• A 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol engine delivering an output of 189 hp (141 kW) and 221 lb-ft (300 Nm) of torque

The details are limited as of now and we can expect further details to be out in coming months.
