3 killed as two buses crashes in Vizianagaram district, Andhra Pradesh

Three were killed and five passengers injured after two Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) buses crashed on the Vizanagaram-Visakhapatnam highway road in the district on Monday morning.

The crash took place near Sunkaripet village in Andhra Pradesh when the state-owned buses travelling in opposite directions crashed with each other, according to the police.

Almost 50 passengers were travelling in the both buses when the crash took place.

Two drivers of both the buses and one passenger died in the crash.

The five injured passengers were taken to Vizianagaram government hospital.

A lorry carrying empty gas cylinders also struck one of the buses in the crash.
