Accident involving truck and motorcycle results in three deaths in Nigeria

Three persons were on Friday night died after an accident involving a truck and a motorcycle around Abiola Way, close to Iyana Mortuary in Abeokuta, Nigeria.

The motorcycle rider, according to an eyewitness, lost control and got struck in an attempt to overtake the trailer.

The eyewitness said that the rider and his two passengers were killed on the spot.

According to the officials, the incident took place around 8 pm on Friday, but the trailer driver did not stop.

The dead ones had been deposited at the morgue of the State Hospital, Ijaye in Abeokuta.

Officials appealed to drivers to avoid wrongful overtaking, drive carefully and abide by the traffic rules and regulations.
