Alfa Romeo‘s expansion plans apart from the US market also includes middle east. Last week, the Italians launched their very stylish Giulietta hatchback in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Middle East, where it will compete with the smaller MiTo.
In the UAE, the Giulietta starts at 101,000 AED (Emirati Dirhams) and rises to 118,000 AED ($27,400 – $32,100 or €20,400 – €23,900).
It will be offered with the firm’s upgraded 1.4-liter MultiAir petrol engine, which will be attached to Alfa’s dual-clutch TCT six-speed automatic gearbox.
Normal traits include Blue&Me smartphone pairing system, seven airbags, ABS and electronic stability control, 16-inch alloy rims, as well as a surprising addition to the standard features list – a panoramic glass roof. Extras such as a flip-up LCD screen for the infotainment system and satellite navigation, Bose sound system, and 18-inch rims are available for extra bucks, as well.
There are plans to sell around 4,200 units throughout 2013, through a network of 24 dealers, spread across the region. Moreover there are also plans to add other middle east countries in the list where one will be able to purchase an Alfa.
There is no information on the car’s performance and other specifications frankly speaking but the same can be got hold as soon as sale starts.
Till then stay tuned and do not forget to browse the pictures.
