The Aston Martin Vulcan Finally Debuts

by SpeedLux

One of the most anticipated cars from the British automaker Aston Martin, the Vulcan, has now finally made its world debut. No, the 2015 Geneva Motor Show event has yet to kick off but the British automotive marquee has taken the liberty of fully taking the veil off its latest creation. The British company is referring to this vehicle model in particular as its most exhilarating and intense vehicle model ever. Unfortunately, however, the car may not be available for all people in the world. The thing is that the car is created only for use on a racetrack.

The Aston Martin Vulcan comes with a totally aggressive visual styling. On the front, it sports a front splitter integrated with a massive front grille. In addition to that, the car also comes with a lot of styling cues derived from the Aston Martin vehicles of the old days.

For the sake of optimum performance on the track, the car has been equipped with a carbon fiber propeller shaft, a magnesium torque tube, carbon ceramic racing discs with Brembo brake calipers, a limited-slip differential and also a carbon fiber monocoque body.

The car is to get its power from a 7.0L V12 naturally aspirated engine. Mated to a sequential 6-speed transmission, the engine is capable of throwing out 800 bhp of power in total. The British automaker in charge of the development of the Vulcan also claims that the car has better power-to-weight ratio than the GTE racecars involved in the World Endurance Championship held by FIA. With that being said, the Vulcan really should not have too many problems competing with the best cars around the world.

The British marquee has unveiled that the Aston Martin Vulcan will not be produced exceeding 24 units. Yet, for those who purchase the vehicle, they will be eligible for a comprehensive training program on the track. In addition to that, they will also receive their instructions right from professional racer from the Aston Martin Racing Team, Darren Turner. Last but not least, buyers of the Vulcan will also get to test drive the company’s Vantage GT4, One-77 and V12 Vantage.
