At least 14 people were killed and three others were injured after a multiple-vehicle crash in Nigeria’s southwest state of Ogun, Nigeria.
The incident took place on Thursday evening. It involved a commercial bus, a defective stationary vehicle and a sedan car on a bridge along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway in Ogun state, according to Babatunde Akinbiyi, a spokesperson for the Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps in the state.
The commercial bus was involved in inappropriate overtaking before it struck a defective stationary vehicle that was parked in the middle of the road because of breakdown, and went on to struck another moving sedan car, who spoke to reporters in the southern city of Abeokuta, the state capital of Ogun.
Akinbiyi said that 14 people were killed, while three people were injured. They were rescued and admitted to the hospital.
