Bentley’s newest flagship model will enter production at the Crewe factory in England in the second quarter of 2010. First cars will reach North American customers in the fall.
In the heart of Mulsanne is a 6.75-liter V8 that produces 505 horsepower and 725 lb-ft of torque.
The Mulsanne is priced from $285,000 plus local taxes and delivery charges. Not cheap at all, but according to Bentley early customer interest exceeds 2010 production targets. UK pricing starts from £220,000 and the car will reach customers in mid-2010.
The luxury Bentley flagship offers a palette of 114 paint colors, 21 carpet colors, nine wood veneers and 24 interior leather hides, all of which will be tanned using a decades-old process to ensure it never loses its scent. The Mulsanne will take nine weeks to build.
Other highlights are iPod and mp3 connectivity, Bluetooth and a SIM card reader, 3G MMI system, and optional NAIM’s premium audio system, that is the world’s most powerful system fitted to a production vehicle – a 20-channel 2,200-watt experience.

Amazing car, waited way too long for this, i hope the next model isnt going to take 9 or 10 years. the car has awesome lines inside and out. the only thing I wish they fixed was the small outer headlights, more modern tail lights looks like the current taillamps. The interior still looks the same too me. I wanted a much drastic interior. I can bitch about the styling or luxary expect for a few tweaks. HP seems a bit low, than the current model. Oh new technology goes on expensive brands to start there life then trickle down into lesser brands. This Bentley could of had a chance to be the first company to use video cameras instead of side mirrors. Oh well Heard Lambo is coming up with a few new models hopefully they will do it.
