The German automaker BMW said on Tuesday it had halted the export of cars to Russia and is set to stop production on the ground there.
The automaker also said it expected production would be interrupted due to supply bottlenecks.
“We condemn the aggression against Ukraine and follow developments with great concern and dismay,” the automaker said.
“Due to the current geopolitical situation, we are discontinuing our local production in Russia and export to the Russian market,” the automaker added.
