Recently at a private event titled ’40 years of M’, BMW held at Nurburgring, they unveiled a new Special Edition M3 designed to celebrate the car’s 2012 DTM championship title.
The Special Edition M3 is limited to only 54 units, which apparently is an homage to BMW’s 54 DTM race wins, the car previewed had a Frozen Black paint job, M striped on the roof and the truck, the package included black wheels, gloss black air inlets on bonnet, carbon fiber front splitters and carbon fiber rear spoiler. The car is also garnished with a couple of graphics and decals paying tribute to the championship winning driver Bruno Spengler, including his signature on the carbon fiber trim, helmet design on the sills, and decals on the rear windows.
