Four killed in Bihar after a car crashed with a truck

A couple together with their children were killed in a road accident after their car collided with a truck on NH-28 near Dumaria ghat under Mohamadpur police station area in Gopalganj, Bihar on Saturday morning.

The deceased individuals were identified as Sanjeev Kumar Jha (47), Nimi Jha (40), Astha Jha (16) and Chaitanya Jha (14).

Sadar SDPO Naresh Paswan said that the family was traveling from Delhi and was going to their village at Bagaon in Saharsa for Holi celebration when the accident occurred.

The truck driver fled from the scene, though left his truck behind.

Officials said that all the bodies were sent for post-mortem at Sadar hospital. After that, they will be handed over to their family.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
