Designed by Steve Carpenter of Galpin Auto Sports, the world’s first widebody Mustang Boss 302 has just been finished, in time for its SEMA debut.

What makes this car so special is the fact that GAS has constructed from scratch the steel widebody panels by hand, managing to add nine inches to the width of the car. A set of one-off Forgiato 20-inch wheels wrapped with Pirelli P Zero tires, 295/30/20 front and 335/30/20 rear was added by Galpin in order to fill out the additional space under the wheel wells. The design of the car is one-of-a-kind, since the matte orange pearl PPG paint is an one-off color, and the graphics on the hood side and rear have been painted on, instead ofusing vinyl graphics.

Regarding the power of the Galpin Mustang Boss 302-X, there can be found under the hood a ProCharger supercharger system. According to Galpin, the car produces somewhere around 780 horsepower. In addition to everything, a 6-point roll cage painted to match the exterior has been added to the interior alongside custom embroidered logos to the Recaro seats.

Photos of the Galpin Mustang Boss 302-X can be found in the gallery, and as soon as it debuts at SEMA we will upgrade this article with more details and specs.
