In an overwhelming winning response, the General Motors has won as Car of the Year competition award in categories for its new Chevrolet Cruze, Buick Regal and Cadillac CTS-V coupe. The competition was conducted by the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada and held at Niagara District Airport.
GM Canada spokesman Tony LaRocca being overwhelmed with the hat trick victory of automobile said that the victory is really a confidence booster for the company and terms the victory as an important step forward for the company. He also added further that the victory is the result of years of commitment and dedication to the work and customer’s satisfaction.
Speaking to gatherings huddled in the tent at the airport ground, LaRocca said “The victory is real honor for us and its worth appreciating.”
Meanwhile, Ford’s Fiesta claimed as the Best New Small Car under $21,000, while its new model Edge had claimed as Best New SUV/CUV under $35,000-$50,000.
Christine Hollander, product communication manager for Ford of Canada said that the car is its in segment what it lacked in few years back, hence the company cashed its past success got in Europe in Fiesta.
Happy with Edge’s victory, Hollander said that his company developed the performance and design with Edge and equipped the car with such technological features that customers would find it wonderful in a domestic product.
Adding further he said “Considering the toughest test process of AJAC, we mean this success as a great deal.”
