by SpeedLux

Well known car tuner Hartmann has recently released a tuning kit for the fifth generation of the Volkswagen Transporter (T5).

They are collaborating with VANSPORTS to offer a power boost for the 2.0-liter TDI engine which will see its output increased from existing 140 hp (104 kW) and 340 Nm (251 lb-ft) to 166 hp (124 kW) and 395 Nm (291 lb-ft) of torque which is an increase of 26 HP and 55 Nm over the stock model.

A similar kit is available for the 2.0-liter BiTDI engine which increases the output from the series 179 hp (133 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) to 212 hp (158 kW) and 460 Nm (339 lb-ft) which is a significant jump of 33 HP and 60 Nm.

Other than the above increase in performance, the T5 comes with features such as a stainless steel sports exhaust system with 2x80mm tailpipes on the right side, along with sport springs which have lowered the vehicle by 35mm.

Other changes to the model include a custom front spoiler, rocker panels, rear skirt, brushed aluminum door sill plates, bespoke floor mats and aluminum pedals. As a final touch, Hartmann has installed a 20-inch VEST-3 alloy wheels wrapped nicely in 275/35 R20 tires.
