The retail sales of Ford Motor in U.S. have reached about 120,400 vehicles in January, which is 6 percent increase, whereas total sales of U.S saw 1 percent decrease.
Mark Laneve, the vice president of Ford’s U.S. Marketing, Sales and Service, commented that “This new year has brought strong consumer demand for F-Series, Lincoln and record SUV sales, especially high-end models.” This sales volume has beaten its previous year’s average transaction prices and reached up to $2,500 and this result was far a big rise from overall January record of $550.
Fleet sales volume of about 52,212 vehicles which includes daily rental, commercial and government segments, the sales percentage declined to 13 percent. This decrease reflected many front-loaded customer orders at the start of 2016.
Ford has reached its sales amounting to 57,995 trucks last month due to its strong retail gains from both F-150 and Super Duty, which is a great 13 percentage increase. Because of the gain in every region, F-series has increased its sales to 19%. January had the best sales start for F-Series since the year of 2004.
The retail sales of Ford SUVs has amounted to to 53,224 vehicles which remarks 11 percent increase from last month and 6 percent increase from overall SUV sales. The all-new Lincoln Continental has shown its strong performance by reaching sales to 1,167 cars, and has increased the brand’s overall percentage by 22 percent. Further contributors are Lincoln MKZ with sales of 2,090 sales – boost of 7 percent – Lincoln MKC with 1,668 sales – a 16 percent benefit – and MKX with 2,928 sales – a 43 percent boost.
