Juke-R – Crossover of Nissan Juke and GT-R: Official Info and Specs

After attempting to reshape the new vehicle market by introducing the crossover (Juke and Qashqi models), which appearently wasn’t satisfying enough, Nissan has developed the Juke-R, which is the first super-crossover ever.

Even though the car is in the development stage, its design is obvious, and the updates are quite remarkable. It features additions of flared wheel arches, revised rear and front bumpers, and a unique split rear wing.

Unfortunately, the model won’t be available for production, being only a one-off, road-legal concept vehicle developed by Nissan and built by leading motorsports outfit RML with input from Nissan Technology Centre for Europe (NTC-E).

Regarding the engine of the new super crossover , it will be a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 engine adopted straight from the flagship supercar of Nissan. Under the floor hides, the GT-R’s six-speed transaxle, with the front and rear ends attached with a modified GT-R 4WD driveline and prop shaft, while chunky 20-inch RAYS forged alloy rims fill each wheel arch.

The interior merges the supercar concept with the crossover with style, as the Juke’s dashboard has been altered to accommodate the dials, gauges and 7-inch customizable LCD display from the GT-R. Twin race-seats with five-point harnesses sit inside a visible roll cage that enhances rigidity to provide the ultimate performance and to comply with FIA safety standards.
