The 2011 Geneva Motor show would witness some more LFA supercar with the Nurburgring Package being one. Photos of these models were released by Lexus themselves. The LFA had won the coveted trophy at the Nürburgring 24 Hours race three times in a row. It is to mark this particular distinct victory that Lexus is coming out with this package. The package would be available for the 50 and 500 LFA models alone. The photographs indicate that the package effects modification to the front spoiler making it larger, the fin-type side spoilers, a canard fin and a fixed rear wing are also additional. In general the package effects all the carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) components on the car.
The engine output too has been raised by 10 hp. This gives the V10 engine a power output rating of 562 hp. Acceleration also therefore goes up to 3.7 seconds for the 0 to 62 mph or 100 kmph run though the top speed of the car will be the same as the standard car – 202 kmph.
For transmission there is the six-speed sequential system which reacts in 0.15 seconds. There is the suspension tuning also that is included in the package reducing the height by 10 mm. Mesh type wheels have also been added in the package. The external color schemes that are available are matte black, black, white or orange, while the interiors would be finished in black and red, black and purple and all-black. A carbon fiber center console along with door trims would be available for all cars in Europe. The seats of these cars would be fiber sports and finished in Alcantara.
