Mc Laren is all set for the release of its brand new model named the MP4-12C GT3 race car. Chief executive officer of McLaren Group Mr. Martin Whitmarsh will announce the details of the model on behalf of the company in Woking, England on May 4, 2011 at the McLaren Technology Centre (MTC). So by the month of May people will come to know about the technical details of the model and about the development programs as well. The race car will also have its driver line up listed and race plans jotted down by that time. The MP4 12C GT3 will be undergoing the various development as well as testing programs under the strict vigil of the company’s engineers and will maintain its robust standards of 2011 race year. A shipment of 20 models will be transported over to the various teams for the racing season for the year 2012.
The MP4 12C GT3 was being planned since the beginning of 2010 and hence was always on the cards. The car was first designed in the company’s Mc Laren simulator which first estimated the various parameters in the design of the car and also played a major role in stating the various technical specs as well as multiple engineering requirements for the race car model. The MP4 12C GT3 model was recently sent for tests at the FIA certified race circuits and the car was then declared to be fit for racing right there. Well, a great piece of news for all those who have toiled hard to transform the designs into a real car.
The wonder model of the car was tested on the Circuito de Navarra in Spain which turned out to be a very successful one. After the successful stint of the car at the race circuits Mark Vinnels the director of the company stated that the MP4 12C GT3 model has such power, weight as well as down force as per the definitions on the Mc Laren simulator that it had helped the car transform into a lethal one. He heaped praise on the simulator stating that this is the software that they are currently using for preparing their models and with the help of this simulator they have been able to produce a GT3 model which has turned out to be the most reliable and the most drivable one on the race grid.
