2011 Nissan Mine’s GT-R: A picture perfect car built for Tony Kanaan by CEC

by Alex

Many people absolutely adore the Indy Pro Series and if you are one of them then you are in for an absolute treat. Now let us give you a small piece of information on a little known man named Kanaan, race driver from the country of the likes of Felipe Massa and Rubens Barichello, Brazil. Well he triumphed in the 2004 Indy Racing League as a part of the Indy Car Series championship. He won the league driving Andretti Green Racing’s 7-Eleven sponsored car. Now a champion is a man of class and we all know that he deserves the best which is something that matches his caliber. So enter a transformed version of the Nissan GTR for the champ himself. The makeover was undertaken by the CEC Wheels in Miami which transformed the model from Nissan into an absolute gem that really suits a champion.

Now let’s come to the fact on what’s new with this transformed model of the Nissan GTR. What new it has for us on offer. Well firstly you’ll notice the brand new front spoiler on the car that takes the style statement of the car to an all new dimension. Along with the spoiler other visible changes in the exteriors of the car include a rear wing, a new grille, hood scoops, mirror covers, side skirts, trunk, and a rear diffuser and an engine cover. All of this as one expects have been manufactured out of carbon fiber to give the car a better finish and a lighter weight as well. The wheels have also not been spared. With a brand value as high as CEC, a new set of Yokohama AVS M7 forged wheels clad in gloss black paint was always on the cards for this awesome car. The interiors of the car have also taken a gala makeover with seats clad in black leather, with a Password JDM carbon rear seat delete, Recaro CS seats, K40 Radar with Jammers and a Password JDM carbon rear speaker shelf. All of this for a champion, well truly justified.

Now let’s come to the mechanical side of the makeover which would include a coil over suspension added exclusively by the CEC engineers. A big 405 mm rotor kit has been added along with stainless brake lines and racing brake pads. A brand new titanium exhaust system acts as the icing on the car making the car complete. Well other tuners must take a lesson from CEC and should well get the fact on how to make a makeover picture perfect.
