MG CS Concept unveiled in Shanghai

by David Bond

The ongoing 2013 Shanghai Auto Show saw the official debut of the MG CS Concept after various leaks reported earlier.

The concept is expected to come with the amazing MG5 platform and its styling has been done by a team of designers lead by none other than the British chief designer Anthony Williams-Kenny.

The company believes the vehicle will surely create a sensation among young, fashion conscious people and this mainly because of its narrow front grille running out from the headlamps, creases on the hood and a generous lower air intake.

The car also has other features such as an underbody protection to create a more rugged and aggressive look, along with concave door panels, air vents in the front wings and blacked out A-pillars. The details of engine are not available as of now but there are rumors that the car may have a 1.5 or 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engines and a 1.9-liter diesel.

As per some resources, the production version is expected to come out in the market sometime in 2015. The base price of the car would be around GBP 15,000 (approx. 17,500 EUR / 23,000 USD). However the limited details are available as of now and we will update you more about the concept and the car once the same is revealed further.
