No 4-door sports saloon for Ferrari

According to Ferrari topman Amedeo Felisa, the car manufacturer will not follow competitors like Porsche and Aston Martin into producing a 4-door sports saloon.

Feliza emphasized that the company founder, Enzo Ferrari, said before that Ferrari will never make four doors. The current boss will follow the Italian carmaker’s tradition.

Someone asked the Felisa why Ferrari is now into hybrids and stop-start technology for its cars, the boss of the Italian luxury car manufacturer explained that it was forced into them by regulations, and no regulation is requiring them to do four doors.

Felisa also clarified that there is no demand for a four-door Ferrari, and consumers can opt for a Maserati if ever.

He further explained that Ferrari has a long history of producing excellent vehicles without the need to come up with four doors. Felisa believes their products are guided by a good automotive tradition and four doors are simply not part of that heritage.
