Opel, a division of General Motors are preparing a grand Launch to the convertible version of the all new city car- Adam, with its launch, it will be targeting the Fiat 500C and Citroen DS3 Cabrio. This new Opel Adam will be on sale across Europe by 2014.
Mark Adams who now works as Design Director for Cadillac and Buick, Originally designed the convertible, the new city car- Opel Adam, Source point out that the convertible will be featuring the cloth roof panel, the one that can be seen on the, 500C, which can be fully taken back with just a push of button and can be closed neatly above the trunk lid in order to minimize the loss of cargo space.
It is expected that other than the roof, almost everything about the car will be totally identical to its hatchback counterpart. And just like the hatchback almost every part of the convertible will be customizable, and it is also expected that this car will show up at its first public debut, at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.
Talking about the prices, nothing can be concluded as of now, but it is believed that the new Adam convertible, will command a premium of £2,500 (approximately $4,000) over its hatchback version, leading a price rise of £13,700 ($22,100- at current rates).
