The automaker Opel has taken the liberty of taking the wraps off its latest vehicle, the Adam Rocks S. The car is currently being exhibited at this year’s International Amsterdam Motor Show event.

Basically speaking, the car is actually a rather sporty variant of the company’s Adam Rocks S model. Being a sporty vehicle, the car has been well equipped with an upgraded steering system, a largely sized wing spoiler on the rear end and also sports suspension that lowers the ride height of the vehicle by no less than 15 mm. For the sake of a sporty performance, Opel has equipped the car with massive brakes and also Electronic Stability Program, or the ESP for short. For the latter, driver of the car will have the option to turn that off.

Power of the car is reportedly going to come from a 1.4L turbocharged engine. Mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, this engine will give the car a total power output and torque of 150 PS and 220 Nm, respectively. In addition to that, the engine makes it possible for this particular hatchback from Opel to reach the speed of 100 km/h from a complete standstill within only 8.5 seconds. The top speed lies at the mark of 210 km/h.

Yes, at a glance, the figures above may not sound too exciting at all. However, things start to get interesting when it comes to fuel consumption. As stated by the automaker Opel, the car consumes only 5.9 liters of fuel per one hundred kilometers. In addition to that, the car is pretty friendly to the environment as well, emitting no more than 139 grams of CO2 for every kilometer traveled.
