Arrinera Automotive, a Polish company, released last month, their first prototype during a local presentation. Now, following the release, Arrinera Automotive revealed some fresh photos and a video of the De Veno Arrinera prototype on local roads in Poland.
If you don’t know, this car comes with a mid mounted engine, which is a latest generation V8 with a capacity of 6.2 litres. It is equipped with an Eaton four-lobe supercharger and delivers an impressive 476 kW (638 bhp) and 819 Nm (604 lb-ft) torque.
This massive power must be controlled, so this car is fitted with ceramic brake discs. Ceramic has excellent thermal conductivity to rapidly conduct and dissipate heat and so avoid fading under hard use, while low thermal expansion properties increase resistance to deformation and warping. Also, these discs are 50% lighter than traditional materials, which reduces unsprung weight and moments of inertia.
In addition to all these comes some large diameter light alloy wheels, which create space for the race proven brakes and are fitted with ultra low profile tyres for ultimate grip and control; 255/30 R19 at the front and 335/30 R20 at the rear.
The light weight was an important aspect for designers and engineers, resulting a body which is manufactured from carbon fibre and Kevlar composites for rigidity and light weight without compromising safety.
Also, thermal imaging greatly assists the perception of the driver by raising his or her awareness of the presence of humans and animals on the road.
Update: This awesome supercar will hit the production line next year and will come in the European, Chinese, Middle East and United States auto markets in late 2012.
