by Alex Patrick

During the 60th anniversary celebration of the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in Carmel, California a Phantom Drophead Coupe model was presented by Rolls-Royce. The model was unveiled by none other than CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös and Chief Designer Ian Cameron.

The paint scheme of the car was in tribute to Stillwater Cove on the Monterey Peninsula in its Bespoke exterior color and has a soft top of navy blue color which is lined with cashmere. The interior has upholstery that is done up with Crème Light leather. Wood fittings that the interior is done up with is made up of cross-banded Santos Pallisander veneer and contrasts with the silver pinstripe inlay. It took just minutes after the opening of the event for the car to be sold off.

There is a complete champagne service installed within the car and has crystal flutes which matches the teak covered picnic deck. There is also a refrigerated cabinet under the luggage compartment floor.

The car also has additional Bespoke cues like an enameled plaque on the dash, Concours logos on the tread plates and embroidery on each seat.

Torsten Müller-Ötvös said “This 60th Anniversary Special Edition is the embodiment of our Bespoke capabilities in Goodwood, it demonstrates the ability of our designers and artisans to create something absolutely appropriate for an occasion and ultimately, something exceptional to cherish forever.”
