Ten-year-old boy on bike dies after accident with car

A 10-year-old young boy died after he was struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle.

At around 4:40 p.m. Saturday, RCMP were contacted to a collision involving a kid on a bike and a vehicle on Range Rd. 174 near Barnwell.

The boy was taken to hospital located in Taber and then flown by STARS air ambulance to Alberta Children’s Hospital in Calgary, where he later on yielded to his injuries.

Taber RCMP are investigating the scenario of the accident. No charges are pending.
