Three killed, one injured after car crash in Lawrence County

Three teens were killed and one teenager was injured after a single-vehicle crash on Sunday evening in Lawrence County.

The crash took place at 6:42 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Jonestown Road and Carol Road when four teens were driving a 1998 Toyota 4 Runner and traveling northbound before they exited the right side of the road. The driver lost control over the vehicle after he overcorrected.

Three teens were then ejected and before the vehicle came to a rest on Jonestown Road.

The victims were aged between 16 – 18.

The only survivor, a 19-year-old identified as Johnny Zook was admitted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Tennessee Highway Patrol investigated the crash.
