Three killed, two injured after car crash on I-79

Three people were killed after a car crash on I-79 in West Virginia on Thursday morning.

Two of them were identified as Nighat Syeda, 71, and Hira Syeda, 33.

The third victim was a child whose identity was not released.

Two children were admitted for treatment of their injuries and are in serious condition.

The crash took place when an SUV was traveling south and it went off of the right side of the road, entered and exited a ditch, before coming to rest along the hillside.

The SUV involved was traveling from Upper Darby, Pennsylvania and was heading to Kentucky.

Kanawha County Sheriff’s Department was investigating the crash.

It is not known what caused it.
