Hey! Since this week-end is not too busy (or newsy) we decided to take a break and update our top articles. The first in line is our old (but gold) Top 7 Supercars from the 60’s post. We hope you’ll enjoy the new version! 🙂
Top 7 supercars from the 1960s
10. Ford GT40
Beat Ferrari in a series of races in 1966. It is one of the sexiest cars ever. Still looks fantastic as a half supercar half muscle car all power hybrid. We just want one.
9. AC Cobra 427
Manufactured in 1966 and offering 340 horse power from a seven litre V8 engine this car is just amazing. Half muscle car, half sports car and all kit car this really is a gem. It could pull off an impressive 265km/h and the turbo charged versions were even more powerful.
8. Abarth OT 2000 S1
This 1968 sports car looks like something out of the Jetsons – if they actually had cars of course. It is a tiny car with massive warped headlight. However this car had an impressive amount of power for its size being able to produce 215 horse power from a 1.9 litre S4 engine. In terms of speed it’s an absolute powerhouse being capable of 270 km/h.
7. Maserati 5000 GT
This 1963 Maserati has staggering 340 horse power delivered by a four point nine litre V8 engine. Capable of speeds of 270 km/h this car may be as ugly as a rover but its engine oozes cool. The bonnet may be overlong but it is housing a 1.9 litre S4 engine with a massive 340 horse power. Though we still wouldn’t replace our Ferrari’s with it haha.
6. Jaguar XJ13
The 1964 jag is one of the all-time favourites and regularly comes in the top 20 of best car polls. The reason is if you look at it, it looks like it was released yesterday. It is one of the first really modern designs on a car with sleek curves that ooze cool. With 502 horse power and a top speed of 274km/h this is still an impressive car.
