Two dead, several injured after car crash on I-80

Two people died after a multi-vehicle crash that also left several injured on I-80 in Lincoln on Saturday.

The crash involved eight vehicles and five other people were admitted to a Lincoln hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, according to Nebraska State Patrol.

The crash had eastbound and westbound lanes shut between North 27th Street and the downtown exits in Lincoln.

Officials probing the crash haven’t released the names of the victims but said a father and son were in the car.
