Two people have died and three others were injured after a serious car crash in Northland, New Zealand.
Police said emergency services were informed of the two-vehicle crash near Wheki Valley, Whangārei, at around 9.40 am on Sunday
The crash took place on State Highway 14 between Otuhi and Whatitiri roads.
After officials attended the scene, they admitted five patients in serious condition to Whangārei hospital.
Four were transported by road and one was flown to hospital.
The crash is currently being investigated.
The road was closed following the crash and was later reopened.
