Two people were killed after a multi-car crash on I-95 express lanes in Broward County, Florida.
The crash took place when a Ford pickup truck lost its bicycle off the back rack around 10:08 p.m and it fell onto the road blocking the inside express lane. At the same time, a Mercedes two-door convertible reacted and slowed and veered to the left before partially entering the shoulder in an attempt to prevent the bike.
After this, a Ford Crown Victoria operating as a Yellow Cab struck the rear of the Mercedes.
Two passengers, a 42-year-old female, and a 38-year-old male. in the cab were killed.
Occupants of the Ford pickup, the Mercedes, the Mitsubishi, and the driver of the Taxi were treated for injuries that were non-life-threatening.
Florida Highway Patrol investigated the crash.
