Two killed after car crash on I-290
Two people were killed after a car crash on early Saturday on I-290.
The crash took place in the westbound lane close to Central Avenue around 3:30 a.m.
The car with the occupants people was struck an overhead sign support structure.
All westbound lanes of I-290 were shut for some hours due to the crash.
By 10 a.m. all of the lanes were resumed.
Illinois State Police investigated the crash.
