Two people were killed following a car crash north of Chadbourn on NC 410.
The crash took place just before 1 p.m. on Tuesday, when a car traveling north crossed the center line and struck a tractor-trailer that was traveling south.
The tractor-trailer then overturned after the head-on collision.
Two people in the car were pronounced dead at the scene.
Their identities are yet to be released.
North Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
