Two people were killed following a single-car crash in Riley County, Kansas.
Officials were notified of the crash after 1 a.m. about a car on fire on Fort Riley Boulevard (K-18).
Officials saw a car engulfed in flames upon arrival.
There were five occupants in the car.
Two people were pronounced dead at the scene. The other two others were admitted to Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan.
The fifth person didn’t require hospitalization.
Two Riley County Police officers were taken to the hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation.
Eastbound Fort Riley Boulevard at Scenic Drive was shut for several hours after the crash.
Kansas Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
