Two killed after two-vehicle crash on Interstate 57 in Illinois

Two people were killed following a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 57 in Jefferson County, Illinois on Wednesday.

Victims identified as Terry Stromski, 73, and his wife Kathy Stromski, 70, were driving northbound in a GMC Sierra when they hit the rear of a Peterbilt truck that was stopped at milepost 84.

Terry Stromski was pronounced dead at the scene

Kathy Stromski was admitted to an area hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.

The driver of the semi, identified as Nodell D. Graves, 31, was not injured.

The crash took place at about 2:32 p.m.

The Interstate 57 was closed for 90 minutes due to investigation.
