One dead and three injured after car crash in Douglas County

One person died and three others were injured after a car crash near Benington, in Douglas County, Nebraska.

The crash took place just before 11 a.m. on Thursday at 204th Street and Bennington Road when the car was allegedly speeding and it failed to stop at a stop sign before hitting an SUV.

The car then rolled into a field, killing the driver.

The driver and two children in the SUV were hospitalized. Their injuries are non-life-threatening.

Douglas County Sheriff’s Office believes speeding caused the crash.
