Two killed in Kansas City after car crashes a tree

A single-car crash left two people dead after a car hit a tree and overturned on Saturday morning in Kansas City, Missouri.

The crash took place just after 2:30 a.m. at 155th Street and North Madison Street when a black Infiniti was traveling east on 155th Street at a high rate of speed. The driver lost control and the car went off the road to the left, hitting a tree several feet in the air, and overturned.

The passenger was ejected from the car and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene as well.

The victims’ identities are yet to be released.

Kansas City Police Department is investigating the crash.
