Two killed, one injured after car crash in New Orleans

A 15-year-old boy and a 2-year-old girl died after a car crash in New Orleans on Monday afternoon.

One man was critically injured in the crash.

The two-car crash took place when a Jeep Wrangler rear-ended a white Lexus at about 3:51 p.m. at the intersection of Interstate 510 southbound and Interstate 10.

The occupants of the Lexus — the two children and the man — were admitted to University Medical Center’s trauma unit in critical condition.

The juveniles succumbed to their injuries.

The man was in critical condition as of Monday evening.

Another person involved in the accident was in the Wrangler and did not need to be hospitalized.

New Orleans Police Department is investigating the crash.
