Two men were killed in a single-vehicle crash on Tuesday, around 7:44 p.m. on State Road 60 near Lake Wales, Florida.

The victims have been identified as 27-year-old Billy Burgess, of Bartow and Thomas Snipes III, 35, of Winter Haven.

Both men were taken out of the vehicle and found dead upon the arrival of first responders.

Burgess was the driver of the black 2003 Chevrolet pickup truck, Snipes was a passenger.

The initial investigation shows that Burgess’ truck was traveling westbound on SR 60 in the inside lane. As he approached a curve in the roadway, Burgess then lost control of the vehicle and it drove through the median and rotated. The pickup truck then entered the eastbound lanes and the truck flipped some times.

Both victims were not using seatbelt.
