Video: 2011 F10 M5 from BMW hits the Nurburgring

The 2011 model of the BMW M5 was recently caught testing the asphalt at the Nurburgring.

The one on the video below seems to be the prototype which was photograph by auto spies last week. As you will see, the car does well in doing some high speed turns and zooms around the Green Hell.

Like what we stated in a previous report, the M5 will be fitted with a 4.4L twin-turbo V8 like the one used for the X5 and X6 M versions. It will be configured to give out a whopping 570 horsepower instead of a lower 5347 hp.

With the engine coupled to an M gearbox, the M5 will blast from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 4.2 seconds. The top speed will be limited to 155 mph or 249 kilometers per hour.

The BMW M5 will roll out of factories starting next year. It might be officially unveiled at the upcoming Paris auto show this coming October.
