BMW releases video with M5 drifting for 51.278 miles

BMW has recently released a video as a proof with the record-breaking M5 drift attempt at the BMW Performance Center.

The BMW M5 was being driven by BMW Performance Center instructor Johan Schwartz who drifted this M5 for 51.278 miles (82.52 km). The car came fitted with the M-DCT gearbox and had Continental ultra-high performance tires with dimensions of 255/30/20 in the front and 295/30/20 at the rear.

He was able to lap the 841-foot (circumference) skid pad for no less than 322.5 laps. As a result of this effort and this superb accomplishment, donations of more than $20,000 were raised for the BMW Charity Pro-Am.
