Brabus, the tuner for the luxury German automaker, Mercedes-Benz, has now officially taken the veil off a modified version of the Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG. This car is more than just eye-catching, thanks to the already attractive visual style combined with a golden paint. Yes, you heard that right, here comes a golden S-Class!
To tell the truth, this is not the German tuner’s first project that involves the latest version of the S63 AMG. However, unlike before, the tuning house has put even more efforts into producing a special edition S-Class for loyal fans of the luxury German brand. Besides the satin gold paint theme applied on the exterior of the car, Brabus has also installed a number of pretty cool aftermarket parts. As a matter of fact, customers are even bound to benefit from aftermarket parts made of the carbon fiber material. Needless to say, this gives the car a rather aggressive look albeit not too tacky, either.
The gold paint is also visible on the interior of the car. Yet, what makes the car a whole lot more interesting is that the car is even equipped with a speedometer that has a 400 km/h speed mark. No, this is not just for decoration for the car has actually had its oomph increased.
To make such high speed even possible at all, Brabus has reworked the car’s default engine quite heavily. Despite using the original engine, a 5.5L V8 twin-turbo engine but the power has increased from 585 to 850 hp. Yet, in terms of the total torque, it has increased from 900 to 1,450 Nm.
For 0-60 mph acceleration, Mercedes-Benz has yet to reveal it. However, for the stock version, the Mercedes-Benz S63 needs no more than 4.4 seconds to reach a speed of 60 mph from a complete standstill. For the 4MATIC variant, four seconds should be enough. The car runs on a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) drivetrain and it is limited electronically by Mercedes to a top speed of no more than 155 mph.
