Notwithstanding continuing string of financial difficulties, Land Rover still enjoys one of the clearest and most forceful brand uniqueness in the automobile ranks. The English automaker has held the same fundamental values since the company’s first off-roader was created by Maurice Wilks in 1948. Upgrades for 2010 include a pair of more powerful engines, six-speed automatic transmission and comfortable cabin. Exterior modifications include new impressive-looking LED headlights and taillights. Range Rover’s classic design remains of a luxury SUV with an essential tough look. On the inside high-grade leather is present just about everywhere and the use of matte finish woods is the best ever. Land Rover has replaced the seats for 2010, and the new deeper and comfortable seats have sufficient devices for safety during aggressive driving. The biggest aspect of the Sport’s refresh is a pair of completely new engines direct injected, supercharged 5.0-liter mill. Land Rover claims a 0-60 mph time of 5.9 seconds.
Every SUV is equipped with Land Rover’s Terrain Response system; a dial with six settings for varying driving conditions. The driver can select from settings including general driving in various environments. Dynamic Program is the other new setting, which is only available on the supercharged model. This program tightens steering and body control while also reconfiguring the stability control system for fast responses. On the efficiency front, Land Rover says that the 2010 Sport is more economical than the model it replaces. Range Rover is expected to achieve fuel economy of about 13 miles-per-gallon. In the end, it is easy to fall in love with the Range Rover Sport because it remains honest in what it promises and careful in making sure that promises are kept. The new model provides luxury and vastly improved performance while honoring a 60-year tradition of off-road capability.
