One of the many supercars that will be unveiled at the 2011 SEMA Auto Show is the special Mario Andretti Edition of the Chevrolet Camaro SS, which is produced by Magnaflow, a leading distributor of exhaust products. Which we must say, excites us more that usual. A Mario Andretti isn’t something we often have the possibility to see, and when it happens, I personally react like a kid when hearing the ice cream van’s song.
The Camaro SS received a great deal of attention when it comes to the aerodynamic department, which received lots of changes, like a center exit exhaust, upper grill side ducts with a carbon fiber OE style hood from RKSport, a lower grill, new side skirts, a 3-piece rear wing, and a set of 20″ HRE Performance Wheels wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero tires.
The interiour of the car was designed with custom leather seat covers, head rests, arm rests, custom suede pillars, center console, and a headliner courtesy of Bill Dunn One-Stop-Shop.
In order for all these performance and style upgrades to be perfect, the Camaro Mario Andretti Edition also comes with a TVS2300 supercharger, a performance twin-disc clutch, a competition series dual center exit exhaust, and Pro Street S coil overs from Eibach.
Besides the fact that the car will be displayed at the SEMA Auto Show, it will also be be auctioned off at Barrett-Jackson’s 2012 Scottsdale event with proceeds given to The Wounded Warrior Project.
We will upgrade this article with more information regarding the specs of the car after the SEMA event, and after that, regarding how everything goes at the auction.
