2011 Ferrari 458 GT by EMS to feature in the 2011 American Le Mans Series

by Alex

GT2 is not going to be the only racing version of the Ferrari 458 Italia. The capabilities that the car has displayed make it inevitable that the variant would not be restricted only to the GT2. There is a private racing team by the name Extreme Speed Motorsport (ESM) who has started to test a 458 GT with the aim of introducing this car as a competitor for the 2011 American Le Mans Series scheduled for the 18th of March this year.

They have plans to enter two 458 GT for the race and for this they are working along with Tequila Patrón. First details of the vehicles have come out with the photograph that has been released by one of the test driver of the cars by name Scott Sharp. The photograph shows the new exhaust system, a huge rear wing and the modified interior of the car. It is quite evident that the modified car has better aerodynamic features and this also means better performance. Audi and Porsche are sure going to get a tough competition this time through.
