It is considered a sense of achievement to own a Jaguar. And if that Jaguar is a special edition one then the degree of achievement goes up by several notches. Jaguar is soon going to offer its fans and followers something of an opportunity to do just that. Teaming up with Stratstone, the well known luxury automotive retailer in the UK, Jaguar is going to come up with their special edition XFR Stratstone Le Mans. Just 50 units of this car would be available in the market. The venture would be supporting the Royal British Legion with a donation of £5,000 from the sales of the Stratstone Le Mans model. Otherwise, price of the car is yet to be announced.
A black front grille with a color-coded grille surround, chrome finish twin bonnet louvers with supercharged script, and 20 inch gloss black wheels with Jaguar R brakes and red center caps is what makes the XFR Stratstone Le Mans special edition the special one that it is supposed to be. The interior has been given its distinct touch and look by having personalized sill plaques, embossed leather headrests, a gear selector carrying the Stratstone Le Mans emblem, as well as piano black veneer with a dark mesh aluminum dash and soft grain leather.
A supercharged 5.0 liter V8 is the power house of this car and gives 510 hp with a sprint factor of 4.7 seconds for the 0 to 60 mph race. Top speed of the car is 155 mph.
Owners of the Jaguar XFR Stratstone Le Mans would get a bit of exclusivity of the car but also get to view the 79th annual Le Mans 24 hour race live in June 2011.
