As a replacement to the S-Type model which had started to look dated, Jaguar had brought out the XF in 2008. It has been three years since and therefore there was the need to give the XF itself a facelift. And it is at the New York Auto Show to be held next month Jaguar will have the revised XF model up for display. The Frankfurt Show would mark the debut of the diesel and station wagon versions at the event scheduled in September.
The revisions being applied to the XF are a new front and rear end styling which has been inspired by the XJ sedan’s looks. There would be a diesel engine fitted to the car which would be the same one that is fitted on the Range Rover Evoque. The 2,200 cc engine would deliver a total of 187 hp. The gearbox would be a ZF eight speed automatic one with the power being fed to the rear set of wheels. The car would also be environment friendly in that the CO2 emissions of the revised model would be less than 130 g/km. The car would also be installed with the start stop system to reduce fuel consumption.
