2013 Ford Mustang Boss 302 to Feature More Gadgets including SYNC

by Andrew Randall

Ford plans to make some changes on its immortal Mustang. For example, the 2015 Ford Mustang will come with a “radical redesign” and, expect some technical updates. As for the 2013 Mustang, it should make its debut at the L.A. Auto Show with revised styling, with Shelby GT500 styling cues and a bumb in power. The latest report indicate that the 2013 Ford Mustang Boss 302 is set to receive an infusion of gadgets.

The leaked list of features shows that more tech will be available on the 2013 Boss 302 including SYNC and a 4.2-inch LCD message center placed in the instrument cluster, most likely similar to the one currently used in other Ford offerings like the Explorer and F-150. In addition to that, the vehicle should also come with HID headlights, as well as Ford’s MyKey system.

The same leaked document revealed that HID headlights would also be available, although it’s unknown whether they will be standard or an option, and confirmed our earlier report that the 2013 Boss 302 would feature a graphics package similar to that of the 1970 Boss 302.

Keep in mind that the car is still a fresh product, so no serious tech changes are expected for the model that will be launched next year. This means that under the hood, we’ll probably find the same 5.0-liter V8 unit that delivers 444 hp and a peak torque of 380 lb-ft. Click here for the latest spy shots of the 2013 Mustang Boss.
